Do I have to attend a nonviolent moral fusion direct action training in order to engage in civil disobedience?
Yes. You only need to attend one training, and it can be the training happening at 11am the day of the action.
Will an arrest go on my record? What does it mean to be arrested? What will the fine be?
The NVMFDA (nonviolent moral fusion direct action) will be in the form of a sit-in or another minor type of disruption. The charges will likely be a summary offense (essentially a traffic ticket, no record) and the fine will likely be between $50-$150. Free legal support will be provided, and a fund to subsidize the cost of fines is being established (but nothing is guaranteed). You will likely spend 1-3 hours in custody and then be welcomed back into freedom by a group of cheering PPC people. Particular legal questions will be covered at the training. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any other questions.
